History of Boone Tabernacle

For sixty years Boone Tabernacle Church of God in Christ had been a religious and Spriitual

"centerpiece" of Kansas City, Missouri. Strategically located in downtown Kansas City, MO,

Boone Tabernacle has been the location for international and national Ministers and

Missionaries to proclaim the "good News" of the gospel of Jesus Christ under the

power of the Holy Ghost. Bishop John H. Boone, a builder of churches, founded and

erected Boone Tabernacle in 1947. The official history of the Church of God in Christ, Inc.

lists the name of our founding pastor, Bishop John H. Boone as one of the original 12 co-founders

of our reformation, who commended Bishop C.H. Mason as the General Overseer and Chief

Apostle of our great fellowship
